Why structured settlements? Structured settlements offer protection not only to the injured client, but also to his or her counsel.

Structured settlements clearly provide financial security for the client, particularly those with catastrophic injury (who likely have impaired or no worklife expectancies). And while protection from the premature dissipation of compensatory funds is and always should be of paramount concern to all practitioners, structured settlements also provide protection to the practitioner, insofar as they minimize the likelihood of a claim for improvident settlement.
